Christian and I visited Florence, OR the last day (when we flew out) and the day before that, we visited the Haceta Head lighthouse. But instead of going backwards, I'll start from the beginning again. But this time, with customized photos. Rather than general ones.
The Aquarium. Newport, OR 6/11
Above is he and I at the Aquarium last Fri (6/12). Right below here is Christian poking his head inside a fish tank that gives you the feeling of being right inside with the fishies. The second picture, you can see a fish about to swim its way by.
And the third one, is another angle, and you can see the cool silver fish going clockwise around and around and around. Pretty neat-o! :-)
Here is Christian with the jellyfish, that I mentioned in earlier entries, and an outdoor photo of Christian. (Yes, there will be a lot of pictures of him on these vacation pictures, because it was just the two of us and there were only a few pictures where we were able to use the timer for pictures of the both of us, or have someone take our picture.)
And here is the "Legends of the Deep" area where the fish are above you, around and below you. Unfortunately, Christian was being a bit of a butt in this area and kept jumping on the bottom sea-through floor mentioning that he wanted to break it. Of course, that was impossible, but it wasn't something nice to hear if you were trying to enjoy the exhibit. He also had to be reprimanded for tapping on the glass. Suffice it to say, we didn't spend too much time in this area.
He also insisted to lie flat on the bottom view, despite all the people behind us.
And...Shark Teeth! Ooh Ha ha!
And here are some more shots from the kids play area. We spent a lot of time here, before watching them feed the sea lions, then the otters and then we left.
It's public knowledge that people think I'm weird for taking pictures of signs and maps. But I find them just as important for the trips/attractions and destinations as pictures of the people and sites. You should be able to see a larger version of this map if you click on it. The aquarium (#16) is the southern end of town on Yaquina Bay. The Historic Bayfront (#13- just a little ways away also on the bay, but you have to cross the bridge) is a fun place to eat, shop, look around. We certainly did plenty of that! And way up on the northern end of town in the Yaquina Lighthouse (#2), where we visited a few days later, that I posted about earlier. Pictures to come soon!
I love then more personalize pictures. You guys looked like you had fun. I do have to say that "You look really good", very good pictures of you and Christian. Can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteFun times! I think it's a great idea to take the pictures of signs and maps.
